Carmen joined TWIC in July 2026 as a Biological Records Ecologist. She has a BSc Hons in Biology and Earth Sciences from University of St Andrews. She previously worked as an Ecologist for LUC and RPS, and volunteered with the RSPB. She is passionate about community engagement with nature conservation and botany.

Carmen supports the acquisition and processing of biological records into TWIC’s database, coordinates TWIC’s workshops programme and supports the planning and delivery of TWIC’s public events and Local Biodiversity Sites work.
