Current Opportunities available
Data Processing Volunteer
We currently have an office volunteer opportunity to support the processing of biological records onto the TWIC database. The volunteer will be responsible for processing datasets from a wide variety of sources, as well as assisting with data archiving and data cleaning tasks.
If you enjoy working with spreadsheets, have an eye for detail and an interest in wildlife and would like to gain office experience working with a conservation charity, we would love to hear from you!
Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of 1 day per week and are based at the TWIC office, which is situated in the rural setting of Vineyard Business Centre, near Pathhead. For more information, download the role description and person specification here.
Volunteering can significantly enhance your CV and is often essential for gaining employment in the Ecology sector. The role may also appeal to individuals who wish to positively contribute their time and experience to our charity’s work.
Volunteers will receive training for their role, including in data protection and health and safety, as well as free attendance at the TWIC annual conference. Reasonable travel expenses will be covered, and TWIC will provide a plentiful supply tea/coffee to keep you refreshed during your volunteer days!
