We currently have two exciting opportunities to join our team – a full time GIS and IT Officer and a part-time Biological Records Ecologist.

GIS and IT Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with knowledge of IT systems and GIS in the environment sector to join our team. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing TWIC’s biological data holdings using ArcGIS Pro, Recorder 6 and MS Access
  • Servicing client data requests and supply data products to Service Level Agreement holders
  • Maintaining the office IT system, and provide technical support to the team
  • Managing the TWIC website and contribute to social media
  • Contributing to data flow between local, regional and national recording networks

Biological Records Ecologist

We have an opening for an Ecologist with excellent data handling skills and a good eye for detail to join our small and dedicated team. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the acquisition and processing of biological records into TWIC’s database
  • Coordinating the workshops programme and support the annual conference
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of public events
  • Managing mailings to recorders and contributing to TWIC’s social media, website and newsletter content
  • Supporting Local Biodiversity Site Assessment work
